Ted was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.  He began making up his own songs at the age of five, teaching himself to play guitar and piano.  After attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ted sold his first song in 1985 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a songwriter. He was a staff writer for Sony Music and many of his songs have been featured on TV and in films.

Mr. Jacobs is the owner/producer at House At The Corner Studio and lives in Sherman Oaks, California.
